Signs Your Therma-Tru Window Replacement Is Failing

• Top sash drops or won’t stay raised. The coil balance assembly has lost tension, or the pivot shoe has cracked. In Sunrise’s salt-air environment, the balance spring corrodes faster than inland ratings suggest, usually between year 6 and year 10.
• Visible gap at the interlock where the two sashes meet. The sash rail has warped from thermal cycling, or the weatherstrip has compressed permanently. Once this gap exceeds 1/16 inch, you’re losing conditioned air and gaining dust.
